Payne Hurls Eclipse to Shutout Victory Thursday, September 3rd, 2026 Bob Payne of the Northville Eclipse shut down the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles 4-0 on a 5-hitter, holding them scoreless while ringing up 7 strikeouts and allowing 1 walk. After the game Payne said, "Guys have been fouling off a lot of pitches lately and I've been getting into too many deep pitch counts, but I'm pleased with the way things went today.
