5-Hit Blitz by Springfield's Delgado Friday, September 4th, 2026 The Springfield Shooters stopped the Billings Polar Bears by a score of 16-6 at The Igloo today, with the lion's share of the credit going to third baseman Sergio Delgado. The 25-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Delgado said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Delgado did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Polar Bears. "Not much that I can say," offered Billings manager Todd England. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Sergio Delgado singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run triple in the 8th.
