Phipps Honored by M3L Double A Monday, August 31st, 2026 25-year-old David Phipps made a few Ft. Polk South headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and M3L Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 9 hits in 15 at-bats to put up a .600 average. Phipps collected no home runs, 1 RBIs and scored 1 run. Thus far this season Phipps has hit .233 with 9 home runs, 51 RBIs and scored 43 times. |
