Ramón Gómez Wins MVP Trophy Monday, October 5th, 2026 At the age of 24, Ramón Gómez of the Vermont Lake Monsters could very well have his best years ahead of him. It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2026 was good enough to win the shortstop the USSL Triple A Outstanding Hitter Award. "See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach." The top hitter put up a .293 batting average this year, as well as a .428 on-base percentage. He played 88 games and racked up 83 hits, 19 doubles, 4 triples, 6 home runs, 50 RBIs and 64 runs scored. Byron Isaacson of the Pennsauken Flyers finished second in voting, while Bob Campbell of the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds finished third. |
