Wednesday, August 19th, 2026
Ray John really sizzled at the plate today. In a game played at Timber Hawks Ballpark, the Vermont first baseman blistered the Augusta Timber Hawks for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a 13-4 victory.
"John was too tough to get out today," the Timber Hawks skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
Ray John hit a two-run home run off Esteban Marino in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
This season John has banged out 64 hits in 256 at-bats for a .250 average with 13 home runs. He is getting on base at a .379 pace and his totals also include 45 RBIs and 44 runs scored.
