Vargas Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Thursday, June 18th, 2026 It seemed that Sunset District catcher José Vargas could do no wrong as the Fog KO'd the Targaryens 12-6 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Royse City pitchers couldn't get him out as Vargas seemed to know which pitches they were throwing. "I think the Fog were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Royse City fan. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Vargas in the postgame press interview. José Vargas singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
