Souza Torches Dogfish Head for 5 Hits Sunday, August 2nd, 2026 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Ernesto Souza today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Cayuse Ballpark and paced the Braves to a 10-4 win over the Milton Dogfish Head. After his dynamite batting performance the Gryfindor third baseman told the press, "I just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid some great dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Ernesto Souza singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. This season Souza has banged out 59 hits in 259 at-bats for a .228 average with 6 home runs. He is getting on base at a .299 pace and his totals also include 33 RBIs and 29 runs scored.
