David Smith Captures Prestigious Trophy Wednesday, November 4th, 2026 What a way to finish off the year -- being honored with the 2026 Outstanding Hitter Award in the Silver League. It had already been a very special season for Thunder Bay's David Smith, but today's announcement really put the icing on his cake. All season long David Smith gave opposing pitchers fits by hitting .291 as he collected 118 hits, 23 doubles, 2 triples, 29 home runs and 82 RBIs. John Downing of the Toledo Stingers finished second in voting, while Bob Dickerson of the Houston 1837 BBC finished third. |
