Buckhead's Carmona Reaps SL's Rookie Award Sunday, November 1st, 2026 He was a "talented and gifted ballplayer." That the way one BNN writer described the rookie right fielder for Buckhead in the article announcing him as the Silver League Newcomer of the Year Award recipient. Manuel Carmona came on the scene this year and quickly established himself as player to be reckoned with. The 21-year-old Bowties newcomer took the trophy by hitting .326 in 82 games this season and finished with 105 hits, 11 home runs, 37 RBIs and 48 runs scored. Ramón Molina of the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC finished second in voting, while Kyle Boddy of the Austin Rangers finished third. |
