Setback for Austin and Yun Yen Wednesday, October 7th, 2026 Rangers first baseman Yun Yen has suffered a setback in his rehabilitation for a strained groin muscle. He was expected to finish treatment soon and rejoin the team slightly ahead of schedule, but now doctors will reevaluated him after he felt severe pain in a recent workout. The preliminary examination revealed more damage and is worse than the first injury. Anonymous sources in Austin told BNN Yun Yen would be absent from the roster quite a bit longer than originally diagnosed. He would now have to miss at least one week. Yen is hitting .262 this season with 16 home runs, 62 RBIs and 46 runs scored. He has 102 hits in 390 at-bats. |
