Super Season, Vargas Wins Outstanding Hitter Award Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026 Jesús Vargas of the Athletic Club KC U-21 had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2026. The 20-year-old center fielder put up a .277 average and a .345 on-base percentage, piling up 100 hits, 10 doubles, 8 triples, 16 home runs, 57 RBIs and 64 runs scored. Ralph Cranford of the Nebraska Plainsmen finished second in voting, while Richard Younger of the Athletic Club KC U-21 finished third. |
