River Rats Ace, Outstanding Pitcher Award Winner Tuesday, September 22nd, 2026 20-year-old Claudio Salazar of the Columbia River Rats put together a good year in 2026 for such a young player. Salazar was named today as the winner of the USPL Single A Outstanding Pitcher Award. Salazar crafted an impressive 9-1 record and a 1.33 ERA. In 108 innings he allowed 73 hits, struck out 109, and walked 29. Gabriel Reyes of the Athletic Club KC U-21 finished second in voting, while Morlack Spurgeon of the Walla Walla Walleye finished third. |
