Loren Stallings went 5 for 5 against the Hammond Herons at Bellevue Field and the Bruins picked up a 14-2 victory. "What a day!" he said. "We win and I get 5 hits! Couldn't be better!" "He was patient up there today," the Bellevue skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Stallings has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Loren Stallings doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
