Week's #1 Player: Galesburg's Díaz Monday, August 10th, 2026 21-year-old José Díaz made a few Galesburg headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and M3L Single A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 9 hits in 16 at-bats to put up a .562 average. Díaz collected no home runs, 3 RBIs and scored 2 runs. Thus far this year Díaz is hitting .235 with 1 home run, 13 RBIs and 17 runs scored. |
