Oakland's Kimura Will Miss Season
Thursday, September 3rd, 2026
The Oakland Oaks were dealt a severe blow when Tetsunori Kimura was hurt making a defensive play recently in a game against the Richardson City Thundercats. After the game, the team trainer reported Kimura might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 24-year-old center fielder out for the rest of the season with a bruised kneecap. They indicated it would take Kimura at least 5 weeks to heal.

Presently Kimura is hitting .255 with 6 home runs and 27 RBIs. He has played in 56 games and scored 18 times.
