The Austin Rangers defeated the Grafton Middies, 6-4. Earning player of the game honors was first baseman Mario Ramos, who was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Getting the save was Júlio Rodríguez, his 17th. Austin, now 45-38, holds 4th place in the Division II.

In the bottom of the 7th, designated hitter Jesús Reyes gave Austin the lead when he hit a grand slam home run. The Rangers had been trailing 4-1, but the two-out home run off Grafton pitcher Robbie Baxter changed that -- and Austin went on to win.

"We'll savor this win," Reyes told the Austin Daily, "then get ready for the next game."
