In a close game at Field of the Middies, the Grafton Middies edged the Northern Virginia Retrievers, 4-1. Grafton shortstop Carlos Maldonado earned the nod as player of the game after he was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. Grafton has now won 5 straight.

In the bottom of the fifth, Ramón Rivera had a big bases-clearing double off Ángel Navarro. With the double, the Grafton center fielder put his team in front, 4-1. He went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs in the contest.
