Losing Streak Continues for 1837 BBC with 9-3 Loss
The Buckhead Bowties turned back the Houston 1837 BBC, 9-3, at Buckhead Grounds. Dave King was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Buckhead reliever Henry Yates picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Gary Bailey was saddled with the loss. The 1837 BBC, now 33-47, have lost 8 in a row.

King came through with some timely hitting for Buckhead. With the score 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth and two down, King hit a 1-0 forkball for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season -- and a big reason the Bowties managed to win.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," King told a Buckhead News reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
