Multi-HR Game for Mojica in 8-6 Win
|
Jorge Mojica left his imprint on the 8-6 Seattle win against the Grafton Middies. Mojica, who is tied for 5th in the SL with a .893 OPS, was 3-4 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5. Eduardo Molina was the winner. Over 7 innings, he allowed 6 runs on 8 hits, with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts. Rex Hood earned his 17th save in 19 tries.
Jay Parker, who is tied for 6th in the SL in triples with 3, aided the Seattle cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the center fielder drove in one run.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Mojica. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
The win puts the Aviators at 34-42, while the Middies drop to 36-40.
