The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC and Buckhead Bowties obliged those fans who came to Great Northern Field hoping for an exciting game.

Thunder Bay starter Tyler MacHugh pitched effectively against the Buckhead Bowties at Great Northern Field. The right-hander led his team to a 6-4 win. Thunder Bay is now 44-29, 3½ games up in the Division II.

Henry Womack, who is rated as the 50th best prospect by BNN, aided the Thunder Bay cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the third baseman went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said MacHugh. "Successful pitchers do it."
