Sánchez Hits 2 home runs in Retrievers Win
The Northern Virginia Retrievers grabbed a 5-3 win over the Phoenix Hotspur at Ballpark of Northern Virginia. Northern Virginia first baseman Roberto Sánchez belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice to earn player of the game honors. The Retrievers raised their record to 32-28.

Sánchez came through with some timely hitting for Northern Virginia. With the score 2-0 in the bottom of the first and two down, Sánchez hit a 1-2 fastball for a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season -- and a big reason the Retrievers managed to win.

Sánchez told the Northern Virginia Herald: "I was born for the big stage."
