Getting a good performance from designated hitter Jesús Reyes, the Austin Rangers defeated the Toledo Stingers, 8-4. Reyes went 3-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for the Rangers. With the win, the Rangers improved to 30-29.

Rodney Hanna's at-bat in the bottom of the second was significant for the Rangers. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and Austin leading 1-0, the shortstop grounded out, driving in 1 run.
