Stingers Clip Northern Lions BC in Tight Contest
The Stingers had to overcome a fine performance from Thunder Bay pitcher Rafael Cardona to grab a 4-3 win at Pacesetter Park. Cardona went 7.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. With the win over Thunder Bay, the Stingers improved to 30-26.

In the bottom of the 8th, shortstop Anthony Johnston gave Toledo the lead when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Stingers had been trailing 3-1, but the two-out double off Thunder Bay pitcher Jorge Castillo changed that -- and Toledo went on to win.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Johnston told the Toledo Daily News.
