Rangers Pull Back to .500 with Win over Northern Lions BC
The Austin Rangers did just enough to sneak past the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 10-3, at Rangers Stadium. Austin pitcher Art Adams earned player of the game honors. Adams got the win, improving to 4-3. He allowed 7 hits and walked 2 over 9 innings. Adams allowed 3 earned runs. Austin is now 23-23, Thunder Bay 30-16.

Matt Sheppard's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant for the Rangers. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and Austin leading 3-2, the third baseman hit a run-scoring single.

"We maximized our offense today," said Austin skipper Jordan Calhoun. "That makes everyone's life easier."
