Bowties Come Up Short at Grafton
Grafton beat Buckhead at Field of the Middies, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to center fielder Jack MacAsgill, who earned player of the game honors. Grafton starter Wayne Hurst was credited with the win after throwing 99 pitches over 5.2 innings. His record now stands at 4-3. Grafton occupies 7th place in the Division II at 20-23.

In the bottom of the 2nd, Grafton took the lead on a 2-run home run by Jarred Morgan. At the time, the Middies were trailing 2-1, but Morgan's hit with two outs against Buckhead pitcher Pedro Ortíz put them in front, 3-2.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Morgan told the Grafton Times.
