Stingers Fall to .500 After Loss to Middies
Pacesetter Park was the site of a tense game between the Toledo Stingers and Grafton Middies.

The Grafton Middies scored a 2-1 win versus the Toledo Stingers at Pacesetter Park. Grafton pitcher Craig Whitney nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The Middies raised their record to 19-23.

With runs few and far between, the Middies had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Grafton came in the top of the second. That's when second baseman Pedro Santos delivered a run-scoring single. The single was hit off Víctor García and made the score 2-0, Middies. Santos was 1 for 3 with a walk.

"I had pretty much everything working," said Whitney.
