Cattlemen Come Up Short at Grafton
Grafton beat Ft. Worth at Field of the Middies, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Craig Whitney, who earned player of the game honors. Whitney picked up the win for Grafton, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-3. At 15-22, Grafton is in 9th place in the Division II.

Stefano Gaddi aided the Grafton cause with a 2-run triple in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Gaddi said.
