|
Thunder Bay starter Mauro Guerra pitched effectively against the Buckhead Bowties at Buckhead Grounds. The right-hander led his team to a 6-4 win. Thunder Bay reliever Jorge Castillo was the winner. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Kyle Buckman. The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC have an impressive 24-10 record.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the tenth inning. With one out, Fred Meyer hit a 1-1 fastball from Kyle Buckman for a 2-run home run. It put Thunder Bay in front, 6-4.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Guerra said.
