Bowties Walk It Off for 13th Win of Season
|
Buckhead beat Toledo on the strength of starter António Castillo's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Buckhead reliever Akihiko Rin picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Manny Amici was saddled with the loss. With the win, the Bowties improved to 13-17.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth. That's when Buckhead center fielder Mysterious Walker, facing Brandeis Vogt, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Bowties the 4-3 win.
"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Walker said.
