Benefiting from the performance of Carlos Padilla, the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC defeated the Austin Rangers, 6-5. Padilla was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Northern Lions BC. The Northern Lions BC now have a record of 16-9 with the win over Austin.

Padilla came through with some timely hitting for Thunder Bay. With the score 4-2 in the bottom of the second and two down, Padilla hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season -- and a big reason the Northern Lions BC managed to win.
