River Rats Reel Off Another Win
|
Columbia right-hander Chris Plummerton pitched his team to victory over the Alameda Airmen at Columbia Stadium. The final score was 3-2. José Fuentes earned the save for Columbia, his 10th. Columbia's record now stands at 57-39, placing them second in the Premier A.
In the bottom of the third, Columbia center fielder Mario Jacome had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Jacome stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 2-1, Columbia. For the game, he went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
