|
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 23-year old right fielder Ramón Guzmán, the Yellowknife Dragonblood stymied the Hogsmeade Cauldrons, 4-2. Yellowknife reliever Julián Menchaca picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Kevin McCrary took the loss. Hasegawa Shoin earned the save, his 1st, for the Dragonblood.
Keith Kamen contributed an important at-bat in the top of the sixth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he drew a walk. It was one at-bat that helped send Yellowknife to the win.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Hogsmeade skipper , "and it cost us."
Their 45-33 record puts the Dragonblood second in the Premier A.
