Austin Hathaway had a good game, even if his team, the Hogsmeade Cauldrons, did not. Hogsmeade dropped a 6-5 decision to Yellowknife at Gators Ballpark. Derrick Quispe got credit for the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. The 'W' lifts Yellowknife's record to 44-32.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the seventh, with the game tied, Chong-yee Au-Yong was at the plate when Yellowknife scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Dragonblood to go in front, 6-4.

"We'll savor this win," Au-Yong told the Yellowknife Times, "then get ready for the next game."
