Pitcher Piotr Oja was sensational for the South Beach Blaze in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Yellowknife Dragonblood. Oja received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. The winning pitcher was Oja, now 7-6. He tossed 7.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. The 7th-place Blaze have won 4 in a row.

Abel Boga's at-bat in the top of the first was significant for the Blaze. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and South Beach leading 1-0, the designated hitter hit a sacrifice fly.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Oja told the South Beach Herald.
