3-2 1837 BBC Win over Northern Lions BC Evens Season Record
|
Houston 1837 BBC starter Gary Bailey turned in a sterling performance against the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Francisco Valdés picked up the save for Houston, his 6th of the year. Losses have been few and far between for the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC so far this season. Their record drops to 13-7.
Early in the game, catcher Jason Alexander had a 2-run single for Houston. It was his 9th hit of the season and put the 1837 BBC on top, 3-1.
In comments to the Houston Daily News, Alexander insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
