Blaze Stick Airmen with 6-3 Loss

Fans who came to Alameda Field watched the South Beach Blaze and the Alameda Airmen fight to the finish.
The South Beach Blaze topped the Alameda Airmen, 6-3, with Ramiro Ramos playing a big role. Ramos was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Blaze in the win. Reid Garrett earned the save for South Beach, his 1st.
When the Blaze needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Ramos who delivered. Facing Alameda pitcher Burm Snart the top of the third with runners on 1st and 2nd, Ramos hit his 4th home run of the year. It made the score 4-0.
"Both teams played hard," said South Beach manager Justin Trewhells.
South Beach, at 26-38, occupies last place in the Premier A.
