The first-place Walla Walla Walleye welcomed Yellowknife to Walleye Tank.

The Walla Walla Walleye picked up a win at Walleye Tank, knocking off the Yellowknife Dragonblood, 5-2. Starting pitcher Nassim El-Badwi was an essential part of his team's success. Walla Walla reliever Alexis Zambaco was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. Manuel Torres took the loss for Yellowknife. José Marroquín locked down his 5th save.

Joaquín Villarreal found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Yellowknife hurler Manuel Torres, the 20-year-old catcher hit a run-scoring single. His 15th hit of the season put the Walleye on top, 3-2.

"We've got a great group of guys," El-Badwi said, "and we're having fun right now."

At 36-21, the Walleye have a slim two-game lead in the Premier A.
