Blaze Take Tight Tilt
The South Beach Blaze got a magnificent performance from pitcher Malulani Anakone, who muffled the Washington offense en route to a tight 2-0 Blaze win at The Ballpark on the Beach. Earning his 5th save for South Beach was Tadeo Pico. South Beach has now won 3 straight, while the Generals have lost 3 in a row.

South Beach shortstop Shizuo Heiwajaima helped the Blaze go up, 1-0, in the bottom of the fifth inning. With the game tied, Heiwajaima hit a run-scoring double off Washington pitcher Baker Mayfield.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Heiwajaima.
