Cale Sutton made an impact in the 6-4 Phoenix win over Ft. Worth. Sutton, who is tied for 3rd in the SL in total bases with 47, went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Cory Sanders picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-0. He struck out 5 in 6.2 innings. The Cattlemen drop to 9-9 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2026 season.
Also pitching in was Phoenix second baseman Ted Cook, who hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, Cook went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
