Grafton beat Toledo on the strength of starter Daniel Martínez's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 6-2 win. Martínez got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 5 hits and walked 4 over 6.1 innings. Martínez allowed 2 earned runs. Truman Valentine earned the save, his 1st.

One important at-bat came with a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the sixth. That's when Jarred Morgan, who is rated as the 53rd best prospect by BNN, hit a run-scoring triple. The Middies went on to win.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Grafton manager Bill Cefaratti. "Our pregame was pretty good."

The loss lowers the record for Toledo to 9-8.
