Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Blaze
South Beach right-hander Malulani Anakone made an effective start against the Yellowknife Dragonblood at The Ballpark on the Beach, leading his team to a 5-4 win. South Beach reliever Doug Carlton picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Derrick Quispe shouldered the loss. The Blaze sit in 9th place in the Premier A with a record of 15-21.

Norm Griffin had the critical at-bat for South Beach. With two out in the bottom of the 11th inning, he hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It gave South Beach the 5-4 walk-off win.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Griffin.
