Plainsmen Take Down Generals, 3-2
The Nebraska Plainsmen eeked out a 3-2 win versus the Washington Generals at Plain Old Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Daniel Mack, who captured player of the game honors. The Plainsmen improve their record to 17-15 with the win over Washington.

A key at-bat in the game came in the bottom of the fifth inning when the Plainsmen sent teenager Josh Platt to the plate against Generals hurler Baruc Garibay. With runners on 1st and 2nd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a double off a first pitch fastball to score 1.

Mack said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
