Hogsmeade got an elite performance from starting pitcher Marcos Oquendo in taking a 4-1 decision over the South Beach Blaze. Oquendo got the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed 3 hits and walked 3 over 7.1 innings. Oquendo allowed no earned runs. Kevin McCrary finished the game for Hogsmeade and earned his 3rd save.

Aberdeen, Maryland-born Larry O'Morgan came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd and the Cauldrons trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run double to left to put Hogsmeade on top.

"If you ever get this game figured out," said South Beach manager Justin Trewhells, "let me know."

The Cauldrons move to 14-18 with the win, while the Blaze drop to 13-19.
