Airmen Win in Glorious Fashion
|
In a low-scoring game between the Alameda Airmen and the Nebraska Plainsmen, pitcher Mal Houser was masterful on the mound. The Alameda right-hander was named the player of the game in Alameda's 2-1 win. Alameda, now 13-17, holds 6th place in the Premier A.
Mario Salazar was the walk-off hero for Alameda. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Alameda shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Salazar said.
