Griffith goes 3-for-4, Northern Lions BC Move to 12-4
Thunder Bay shortstop Arnold Griffith was instrumental in his team's 8-1 win over the Northern Virginia Retrievers. Griffith, who is tied for 7th in the SL in extra base hits with 8, went 3-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Northern Lions BC. Tyler MacHugh, who went 7.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 8. His record now stands at 2-0. The Retrievers fall to 5-11 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2026 season.

Griffith came through with some timely hitting for Thunder Bay. With the score 1-0 in the top of the fourth and one down, Griffith hit a 2-0 curveball for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season -- and a big reason the Northern Lions BC managed to win.

"It was a solid team effort," said Griffith after the game.
