Ramos 4-4 as Middies Squeeze Past Toledo
|
Grafton first baseman Mario Ramos made his presence felt in the 5-4 Middies triumph over the Toledo Stingers. Ramos went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The loss lowers the record for Toledo to 9-7.
In the bottom of the 6th, left fielder Ramón Gómez gave Grafton the lead when he hit a 3-run home run. The Middies had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out home run off Toledo pitcher Francis McBride changed that -- and Grafton went on to win.
"Feels good to get the job done," Ramos said after the game.
