Dragonblood Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Airmen
In a close game at Alameda Field, the Yellowknife Dragonblood edged the Alameda Airmen, 4-3. Yellowknife left fielder Junior Pittman earned the nod as player of the game after he went 2-3 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Yellowknife reliever Manuel Torres picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Billy Mays shouldered the loss. Julián Menchaca finished the game for Yellowknife and earned his 2nd save.

Yellowknife grabbed the momentum in the top of the eighth, when Pittman, who is tied for 3rd in the PA in extra base hits with 7, hit a 2-run home run. His 1st home run put the Dragonblood out in front, 4-2.

"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Manuel Hernández.

The Yellowknife Dragonblood, now 14-3, have had a terrific start to the season.
