River Rats Jolt Blaze with Late Rally
The Columbia River Rats went home winners at The Ballpark on the Beach, thanks in large part to starter Elend Venture. Venture silenced the South Beach Blaze, enabling Columbia to grab the 2-0 win. The win was credited to José Fuentes in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Victor Lustig took the loss. The Columbia River Rats, now 1-3, have not found much traction so far in 2026.

One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the seventh. That's when Rob Gray, the 22 overall pick in the 2026 draft, grounded out. The River Rats went on to win.

"This was a good win," said Gray.
