Tight Tilt Goes to Dragonblood, 4-2
|
Yellowknife starter Fernando Elías pitched effectively against the Hogsmeade Cauldrons at Gators Ballpark. The left-hander led his team to a 4-2 win. Elías went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-0. Víctor Solís earned the save for Yellowknife, his 2nd of the year.
Yellowknife took control in the top of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, Steven Mitchell hit a 2-run single to make it 3-1, Dragonblood.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Mitchell told the Yellowknife Times.
The Yellowknife Dragonblood, now 4-0, have played some good baseball in the early going.
