Storm Go Down to Defeat, 5-2
|
The Louisiana Dragoons racked up a win at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium, bumping off the Syracuse Storm, 5-2. Paul Addison, who started for Louisiana, pitched effectively for his team. Addison was the winning pitcher and moves to 10-2. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk. Louisiana occupies second place in the Silver A at 57-35.
Louisiana grabbed control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Emmanuele Lucchetti delivered a 2-run single, to make it 4-2 in favor of the Dragoons.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Louisiana manager Steve Hawkins. "Our pregame was pretty good."
